1. Booking and Payments Methods
The exact card used to secure the booking must often be presented at check-in.Taxes and Fees: Check if local taxes (such as VAT or luxury tax) are included in the listed room rate.Board Types: Understand the difference between booking formats: BB (Bed & Breakfast), HB (Half Board - includes breakfast & dinner), FB (Full Board), or AI (All-inclusive).
2. Cancellations and Amendments Cancellation Windows:
Most bookings allow free cancellation up to 24-72 hours before arrival. Cancelling past this window or failing to show up usually incurs a charge equal to one night's stay or the full booking.Non-Refundable Rates: These are typically cheaper but cannot be amended or refunded if your plans change.
3. Check-in and Check-out Timing:
Standard check-in is typically around 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM, and check-out is usually between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.ID Requirements: Valid government-issued photo ID is mandatory. Foreign nationals typically must present a valid passport and visa, while locals generally need to show address proof. Early/Late Requests: Early check-ins and late check-outs can often be requested but are strictly subject to room availability.
4. Guest Conduct and Hotel Rules Outside Food & Alcohol:
Many hotels strictly prohibit bringing outside food or beverages due to food safety and hygiene regulations.Damage Liability: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the room or hotel property during their stay.Prohibited Items: Storing flammable, dangerous articles, or illegal substances is strictly forbidden.
